At Darshan Yeshiva, we believe that every person deserves the opportunity to celebrate their b’nai mitzvah in a way that feels authentic to them. Our program is designed to empower and give the confidence our students need to succeed, while taking the stress out of the b-mitzvah experience. It has never been easier to become bar mitzvah, bat mitzvah and b-mitzvah.
WHAT OUR STUDENTS ARE SAYING

I’ve been with you all since your Punk Torah and One Shul days, and I completed my Conversion program with Rabbi Brian.
At the time of my Conversion program, I was not able (or interested in) to have a formal ceremony, or even think of what that might mean for me. At the time, it was the right decision for me, and Rabbi Brian is the most flexible and understanding person to work with!
In the years after, I thought that doing something simple and quietmight be nice, but the programs out there are more structured (or no structure at all!) than I need, and much more expensive than I can afford. Then DY develops a B’nai Mitzvah program that is uniquely DY culture, and I think I have found my “fit”!
I am so grateful that I have access to innovative, inclusive, progressive Jewish education, and the ability to create my own program of independent study! How my B’nai Mitzvah experience will look, I am still thinking on, but I am just happy to have this opportunity for when it’s right for me and fits my life.
Shalom,
Kim Wilson
