Don’t let a lack of Judaics experience hold you back!

The comprehensive Judaics of this pre-rabbinical course helps students who sense gaps in their Jewish knowledge, and need a little extra help before starting the smicha program with our sister organization, Pluralistic Rabbinical Seminary.

Embark on a comprehensive journey through essential Core Learning Areas: Tanakh, Jewish History, Modern Judaism, Liturgy, Halacha, and more, taught by Rabbi Jaymee Alpert.

Rabbi Jaymee Alpert is passionate about exploring the connection between spirituality and physical activity. She is the co-creator of NBS, Neshama Body and Soul, a practice that combines exercise with Jewish prayer, meditation and Torah study and has created and led Shabbat morning hiking services.

She has 20 years of experience as a congregational rabbi, having served synagogues in the Bay Area, Westchester, NY, and Princeton, NJ. She currently sits on the Conservative Movement’s Committee on Jewish Law and Standards and on the board of Lilith Magazine. She’s also a certified fitness trainer and life coach.

As a token of our appreciation, students enrolled in the Darshan Training Program receive complimentary access to the PRS Beit Midrash, providing additional resources to enhance your learning journey. As with all courses, students also receive access to the weekly Darshan Yeshiva Substack newsletter and support through our rabbinic email helpdesk.
