We’re excited to offer one-on-one mentorship with rabbis who can assist you in your ongoing Jewish learning, starting January 1, 2018. Join the email list for more info.
Who is this program designed for?
People who feel like they need to further their Jewish knowledge or just want to talk to a rabbi. If a classroom is not right for you, you just need a rabbi’s attention, or perhaps there are Jewish questions you feel uncomfortable asking without some privacy, this is for you.
What can the rabbi and I talk about?
Anything! Want vastly improved prayerbook Hebrew and ritual skills? Want to know more about text, holidays, Shabbat, Jewish law (halacha) and spirituality? Or perhaps you just need a sense of Jewish “self-esteem” and ownership of your Jewish identity.
Can I choose which rabbi I work with?
Absolutely! A list of rabbis will be available. You’ll pick the one you want.
How does it work?
Students will fill out a form with their information and the ideas they want to address in their one-on-one meeting. After payment is processed, your rabbi will reach out to you to schedule a time to meet. You will have one on one mentor meetings using your choice of software such as Skype or Facetime. No special technology is needed.
How much will it cost?
Meetings will be $39 for a thirty-minute meeting or $69 for one hour.
Is there a catch?
No catch! However, we will have a very firm policy on missed meetings. Failing to reschedule within 24 hours will result in a loss of a meeting and no refunds.
Can I use this as a form of therapy?
While you’re welcome to chat with your rabbi about anything, this offer is not intended for online pastoral care, therapy, to diagnose or treat mental illness.
