Personal statement
Shalom! I am a progressive, creative Post-Denominational Rabbi who became a rabbi as a second career later in life. My first career was as an award-winning singer and recording artist specializing in Jewish music and music for families, a cantorial soloist, and educator. I have been a Jewish educator since I was 15 years old, and I love to teach and help people gain knowledge and understanding.

I live in Central Louisiana with my husband, Bob, where we are both active members of our community.  We have three children, six grandchildren, and three “grand-dogs.” In my spare time, enjoy volunteering, and I run two, non-profit organizations. I also read, watch movies, travel, and am considered a compulsive knitter.

I am excited that you have made this sacred and important decision to become Jewish. Judaism encourages us to question and challenge — there are no stupid questions. As your mentor, I look forward to answering your questions, hearing your story, and working with you on this very personal and spiritual journey.
