Personal statement
For over a decade and a half, I have had the privilege of serving Orthodox, Conservative, Reconstructionist and Jewish Renewal conversion programs. Like a number of esteemed rabbis, I prefer the term “integration” over mere conversion.
I hail from the heart of Israel but spent my formative years in the friendly city of Winnipeg. My journey in Judaism has been enriched through the guidance of the visionary founder of Jewish Renewal, Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi z”l.
For a thirteen-year stretch, I had the honor of being a congregational rabbi, tending to the spiritual needs of two of Canada’s oldest and most venerable synagogues. These congregations, one Ashkenazi and the other Sephardi, allowed me to traverse the intricate tapestry of Jewish traditions and histories.
In recent years, my path has taken a dynamic turn as I’ve ventured into the world of “rabbipreneuring,” where creativity knows no bounds. I’ve been injecting fresh vitality into numerous Canadian communities, nurturing their spiritual growth and renewal.
Beyond my spiritual pursuits, I have a deep passion for music and can often be found strumming the guitar. I’m also a certified yoga and meditation instructor, harmonizing the physical and spiritual dimensions of well-being.
