The Jewish year is peppered with holidays. Nearly every month, Hebrew and Gregorian, have a Jewish holiday. Many, if not all of the Holidays follow the seasons and help us to take stock during that period of time. Our fall holidays like Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur come to remind us how the year is coming to a close. Our holidays in the winter like Hanukkah remind us to seek value, warmth, and light from what we have and our relationships. The spring holidays like Passover remind us of the possibilities that lay ahead if we are brave enough to pursue them. And the summer holidays like Shavuot give us a chance to appreciate everything around us in all its abundance.
The Jewish calendar can feel slightly complicated, so for this unit, we have included some notes to guide you. The podcast is a brief overview, while the video goes a bit more in-depth. The notes are the deepest.
